Desert Medical Imaging (DMI) is a multimodality diagnostic imaging center. Three DMI affiliate MRI centers are accredited by the American College of Radiology. DMI started providing services to the Coachella Valley in September 1998, at its Indian Wells, California, location, and now provides services not only in Indian Wells, but also in Indio, Palm Springs and Yucca Valley.
 DMI provides high field and open magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), spiral computed tomography (CT) imaging, ultrasound, and positron emission tomography (PET/CT) imaging.
Philips Medical Systems utilizes our center as a "show site" for prospective buyers in the market for high-field MRI systems. Our Intera high-field MRI system is the "show" product Philips demonstrates, in action, to prospective buyers, including major university hospitals, Department of Defense hospitals, VA hospitals and private outpatient clinics. Whenever new technology becomes available, we upgrade our software and hardware to maintain our "show site" status, ensuring our patients the highest quality imaging in the area. DMI also performs research and development of new software and hardware for MRI applications, including cardiac, MR angiography and orthopedic imaging. This reflects the clinical research interests of DMI's co-owner, John F. Feller, M.D. We have a vendor relationship that allows Desert Medical Imaging to partake in the development of various products and be the first outpatient imaging center of its kind to have university level technology. Often times DMI is the first practice to design and implement the latest innovations in MRI and CT in the world.

We are committed to providing same-day appointments, 24-hour report turnaround, imaging availability 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, patient transportation when needed, and on-site transcription and billing. Our staff includes licensed technologists, a highly valuable and valued friendly, bilingual staff and Board-certified radiologists headed up by our Medical Director, Dr. John F. Feller.
